Default Exhaust

Does anyone know the factory size exhaust for an 08? I ordered a 2 1/2 inch in/out muffler will that work? Whats the outlet size of the cat? I cant measure since my truck is at the body shop right now. Any help would be great

what I didnt realize was the outside diameter of the muffler was 2 1/2. I also ordered 2 1/2 inlet tips. So could the exhaust shop just run 2 1/4 from the cat back with out using a bunch of adapters?

The 08 is an oddball, the pipe diameter is 2 7/8 or 2 3/4". For sure it's larger then 2 1/2" I measured mine.

the pipe is kinda strange on the 08's right about 2.75 in. a 3 in pipe will fit over it a little loose but nothing a mig welder cant take care of

LOL. I'm pretty sure I'm just over thinking way too much. I looked up the flowmaster force 2 for my 08 and it says it's a 2 1/2 in/out with 3 inch piping. What gives? Basiclly what I'm doing is having the shop remove the factory piping and putting up new pipe with my 2 1/2 in/out muffler, but I'm keeping the cat because of our emmison laws. So if I am understanding this correctly the shop should be able to either run 2 3/4 over the flange on the muffler, or run 2 3/8 into the flanges in the muffler right?
