This is news to me, but my new 2010 Dak just started nagging me to change the oil at 2501 miles (it will give a ding and flash Change Oil when I started it tonight.) I usually change oil every 3K miles, and usually manufacturers recommedn something like every 5K miles. Did the new 4.7 include a different maintenance schedule? I'll check my owners manual, but also wanted to check here to see if this is normal.
I know the dealer said they would give me a free oil change my first time, so maybe this is there way of encouraging me to show up?
