CAN Bus question

I have a 2007 Dakota and want to install an Alpine radio in it. Do I need to purchase a CAN Bus module or is my truck the last year of non-CAN bus (for the radio)? Some websites say I need the module and some say I don't.

I can't really give you the answer, as I am an 06 that didn't need the adapter... crutchfield is usually pretty accurate, but expensive. A quick call in to them should resolve that question.

mine is an 05, they by-passed mine when it was installed. if i hook up my scan tool it says, cant find radio module, dont know how they were able to do that, i have a pioneer
