What is the backspacing on a stock 16" rim?

with a 16x8 and a 0 offset you shouldnt have any clearence issues with the 285's and if you have already trimed the plastic, you should really be ok

i havent tried any others except for when i had just the leveling kit on and a 16x8 and not sure of the offset but they were eagle 186 wheels, and i had major fender contact with 265/75/16's

im gonna cross my fingers and order 16x8 0 offset

Ok, so if I have the stock 16x8 with a +25 (5.5") offset and switch to a 20x9 with a 0(5") offset. That is moving the tire a 1/2" inboard toward the frame. So if I get any rubbing I could just use a 1/2" spacer to push it back out and it would be back the stock position right?

if you need a wheel spacer, use one of these, dont use a plate spacer, they are bad news
