Default Dumb ABS question

So....how do I find out if I have 2 or 4 wheel ABS, so I can get the correct hub assembly for my front left?

jack up the truck and remove the front wheel/tire. look closely at how many hoses/wires are attached to the front knuckle area. they'll be at least one hose attached to the caliper which is the brake line. if there is another wire that's attached to a magnet thats stuck into a round hole, generally attached with a little 10mm bolt, then you have front abs.

Well, I tried the simplest 1st, and wouldn't ya know the PO peeled the sticker off. So, when I get a chance, I'll look and see if that wire's there or not. I think I recall the ABS kicking on in the front a while back when I slammed the brakes in the rain...I must have 4 wheel. Thanks for the advice!

I can't believe nobody recommended the easiest way. Hit the freeway and slam on the brakes! See which ones lock up :-)

Okay, Okay...so maybe there are safer ways to do this :-)

You can also request a build sheet from your dealer, they'll need your VIN number and they can give you a printout of your truck's exact configuration from the factory.
