Default Dash lights on

Started my 05 dakota this morning and my ABS, e-brake, seatbelt, and coolant lights stayed on (seatbelt was buckled and e-brake was not engaged). I drove for a minute, then shut the truck off and started it again. This time only the coolant light stayed on. I tried it again about 10 minutes later, and still just the coolant light is on. I guess it needs coolant, but why would those other lights intially have stayed on??

Also what type of coolant can I add to this truck. I have a couple just of coolant in my shed but I'm not sure if they are compatible.

I had that happen before, check your battery connections. I had a bad ground that caused all kinds of seemingly unrelated issues. Not sure about the coolant. did you check the owners manual?

The manual says:

Mopar Antifreeze/Coolant 5 Year/100,000 Mile Formula HOAT (Hybrid Organic Additive Technology) P/N 5011764AB or equivalent.

Looks like Zerex G-05 will do.
