looks good! when i first read the title of the thread i thought u were painting with a brush lol, and u cheated there is a rattle can of primer on ur bed!!! i guess primer dont count.

im slowly working up the painting ability, ive got a compressor and everything, but i first picked up a little compressor and airbrush for doin model cars a month ago, and im getting used to that, ill eventually get up to the level of repainting my truck from metal to get rid of that crappy primer thats bubbling up.

Not to be a buzz kill but that tailgate was prepped wrong. You don't want to use one of those circle disks unless you plan of stripped all of the existing paint off.

You want the surface to be at flat as possible before painting or you'll get random "hills and valleys" causing an uneven surface.

I would have wetsanded the surface using a block and 400-600 grit then laid down the satin/flat black to get the correct finish.

I would actually recommend blocking sanding it right now as I can see the surface isn't even and then respray once your get is straight again.

Just my $0.02

No Abels Primer does not count! Why is yours bubbling?
Adam; Yeah we realized that and we are going to redo it down the road, I'm happy with it for now- it's not noticeable enough to break it all down again.

Jkeaton- Here's the bumper
