Spal fan controller & HHR fan installation tutorial
That is not the ebay seller I bought mine through. Yesterday, they finally contacted me after sending Ebay a nasty-gram. They are offering me a full refund and starting a trace on the missing item. When they get it back, they will offer me a discount if I wish to purchase it again. I'm just miffed because I want to install the SOB.
Ok. E-fan is installed. This thing is serious! First off, the HHR fan is loud...which doesn't bother me. Second thing, the brackets I am fabbing up will be pretty good...but I won't post pictures until tomorrow morning. I want to make sure the "fit and finish" is DF worthy...or AKA (the way I like to call, the right way).
Those of you who have installed the HHR fan: did you block the sides (area where it is open)? This, to me, seems like a good idea.

So, here's the finished product. The only thing I have left is to clean up the wires with loom, and get my weatherpack connector for the fan.
Once the weatherpack connectors get here, I will have detailed instructions and pictures to show the swap. I removed the excess side mounts with a hack saw and dremel. They are part of the shroud, but are obviously not applicable to our configurations (unless one wishes to use those as fabbed mounts, of course).
Here are the mounts and sides I fabbed to attempt more draw through the radiator. All of the material is available at your local hardware store (Lowes). This was the second most time consuming, other than the Spal controller...which didn't really take that long.

This is the bottom bracket. Most of the weight is hung-weight, from the top brackets. The bottom bracket is mainly for stability.

Well, this thread is pretty much "the tutorial". Other than installing a weatherpack connector. I'm sure there are members that have used them before, but I will still show everyone who is unfamiliar with them, what to do when using weatherpack connectors.
