Default Trailer Brakes?

Hey all i have a 2008 Dakota 4.7l QC and i am looking at buying either a 5th wheel or tag pull camper. The question that has arised is that i need trailer brakes when i went to my dealership they said i have the tow package, the odd thing is i dont have a hitch except the one on the bumper, it does have the tranny cooler tho, and a 4 pin light hookup. I know there is supposed to be a blue plug under the dash but i dont see one, how would i go abouts hooking up a brake controller?

If you have the tow package you should have the 4 pin and 7 pin connectors out back along with a 2" receiver hitch.

yeah if you have the trailer package you'll be able to just hook up the trailer which should have the light plug in and plug it right into the hook up on the dakotas rear!
