Takin a pic today! Had to do a bunch of post block leave counselings yesterday so I couldn't get pics up

Wash the truck.
I use the Pinnacle clay bar...

and liquid ice quick detailer as the clay lube.
Wash the truck again.
Wax the truck with your favorite wax.
then hit the truck with a sealant. I got a gal of this from chemical guys, and it has lasted me all summer, and I still have a lot left...

you can do multiple layers of the sealant for more depth of shine.

wax on.....wax off.....they sell a kit with that pinnacle ultra fine clay on amazon for $29. Just ordered me some. Thanks for the lead though. Autogeek is expensive!

the auto geek bars are big. I rip them in thirds and keep them in a ziploc bag.

how do you tell when they are used up? can you clean them and re-use?

I just keep using my clay bar. I have clayed three cars so far with mine. When the clay bar starts to look dirty, just knead the clay till it looks clean again.
AGAIN IF YOU DROP IT, THROW IT AWAY!!!!!

now someone said that a clay bar takes out the grime and dirt does it take the clear coat off of the vehicle?

no it does not take off the clear coat. onless you try to sand with it. you just glide it over the finish using the lubricant (detail wax usually)

oh okay...well have to wait to see if i get deployed in February or not and try it next summer!
