I'll snap some pictures tonight Victor. The bracket was just some cheapo piece of aluminum "L" bracket that I had to bend to get it to attach to one of the intake box mounting posts. The other end is held on to the intake tube with one of the hose clamps holding the flexible rubber pipe connectors. I was not happy with it either, but I also knew for $35 it would not be perfect.

I Also had to bend the mounting bracket about a 1/2" to make the tube fit.
I will grab some more pics of the actual bracket that I am taking about during lunch.
Photos suck since it was getting dark after I finished.

HERE.

I will work on a detailed instruction for the fan also, since the one I followed kinda skipped some steps.

Hi:

I received my CAI, by Chrome Intakes yesterday, I installed, not so happy as you said with the mounting brackets but, that is not what I really don't like, it sound very good make you feel like more power.
After a day of work I open the hood to see if the CAI is ok and the CAI pipe can't almost be touched, it was extremely hot!!!
So if it is going to be like this, I think is better not to install any CIA, my motor is going to receive more air but HOT, so hot air = no more power!!
This aluminum pipe don't help in anything, I tough!

What now I'm planing to do is to custom the resonator, if I can put a tube inside of it, that block or cover the unwanted opens inside, the air run more freely and it gives you the aggressive sound!!

Any comments?

Thanks

Victor

If you want cooler air temps, you can try wrapping the tube or doing something along the lines of a ram air. Through the hood will give you the coolest and most direct air flow. The biggest problem with most air intakes is all they do is suck air from the engine bay.
