Cortex 3950
Yep they better. a few guys on HP's forum have already gone to SCT for tuning dodge so they wouldn't lose customers. But they are like me and would switch back to HP because of the capability to scan, log and tune with the same program. The program also has a capability of live tuning like adjusting fuel and timing while the engine is running.
Update. I filled it up with 93 and installed 91 tune. On the way to work I lined up with one of the guys from work with a 2010 F150 at the light. Holly crap! It got sideways and left him sitting there lol. I've been raggin him all morning
Well, I decided the try the Cortex 3950 now that I found out my MAP sensor was the root of all evil. I got a GREAT deal via craigslist, never made it home before loading the 91 octane tune
I had the SC 3865 before I put the headers on, it was OK (I think mainly the MAP issue).
This thing ROARS now! (Will try to get her sideways in the AM)
I guess I will update the programmer and see about getting the trans update

HPtuners been around for a while for GM and recently for Ford. They are very close to releasing tuning for Dodge. It's alot more complicated than a hand held tuner. You won't get a preset tune like the hand held tuners. But not as hard to tune as most people think it is. HPtuners has a tune repository which is cutom tune other peple have done with different mods and uploaded so others can use to get there base tune. It gives you a good starting point. You use the scanner portion of the software to go out and to some real time logging. From these loggings you can see where you engine is running lean or rich, If you getting knock or if you need to add timing. Basicly after a few tunes and logging you can get the engine running at it's maximum performance and efficency. Which equal more HP and Better fuel economy. I have the Beta version for HPtuner which allows me to do just scanning and logging for right now on my truck. The cortex 3950 has a desent tune but from my loggings it is a very conservative tune and has alot more tweaking needed to it. With HP i could take this SC tune and use it as a base tune to start from and improve from there. Good Example of how much Hp i could from HPtuner. I took my brothers stock 2002 Chevy ext cab with a 5.3 L and made a pass at the track. It ran a 16.28. I tuned it with a 87 octane tune and made another pass and ran a 15.27. I took another 2004 Chevy 3/4 crew cab with a 6.0L and put it on a dyno. stock it produced 220 rwhp, Tuned it for 93 octane and produced 305 rwhp. Looked at the loggings , retuned and got anothe 10 hp. Thats 95 extra HP. so yes very impresive software. If SC is claiming 30hp on the HO i'm sure i could get 60+ Can't wait to find out.

FYI, Hopefully I'll be able to bench tune the pcm's for dodge like the GM's and be able to sell custom tunes. basicly you tell me what mods you've done to your truck. I tune the PCM and send it to you to swap out and you send the old one back to me. No down time except for when you're making the swap.
