I've got a single disc unit but sadly no aux input in the bottom left.

No code on mine. I actually got my stock head unit swapped out for another unit with the aux input. I know they have started making it so an error light comes on in newer trucks when electical components are looked at. Youll actually get DTC's for a taillight out, a failed connection with a speaker, and so on. Nothing to worry about in an 05 though.
