I used to put 70-80K a year on a rig. I was a painter and drove all over the area. These miles are mostly commuting. 45 miles one way plus weekend driving because it's way more fun to take my truck than my wife's car!

Screw gas mileage!

I once had a car that I bought with 100 miles new, and put 12K on it in 6 months. That was when warranties were 12 months or 12,000 miles... Cars and trucks were meant to be driven, not parked.

 

my trucks been all over western and central canada plus used for work id say about a third to half of my millage is highway

 

Does anyone know exactly how long the 4.7l engines will go? (Ofcourse, under normal circumstances)

 

i'm hoping 200k before any major overhaul is needed...

 

my truck probably has close to 60K the way my parents use it instead of their 4Cylinder CRV...dont knowhow that makes sense! but my dad loves it and OMG he better be payin for some maintenance! lol anyway i figure by the time it needs major overhauling I will either have it for a back up truck or traded in on a NEW DAKOTA or RAM or something AWD and TURBO...so the way i see it DODGE has 5 years to make a AWD TURBO otherwise its a RAM for me!
