the add-a-leafs were about $100. I could've got them cheaper but didn't want to wait around for shipping up from the U.S. (probably would have been a wash anyway with shipping costs)

@canadiandodge: I would totally recommend the rattle can approach. Considering the manufacturer wanted $700 to paint it and most other paint shops didn't want the business (stupid Calgary).
I just scoured it real good and shot a coat of cheap primer (didn't have to, but figured that stuff sticks to anything and paint sticks to it) before laying down 3 coats of base and 3 of clear. Paint cost me about $100...I have a bit of orange peel going on but I also haven't had a warm enough day to buff it out properly.

Great job with the painting, nice work. And the Ram 17's look good on the Dakota. Bring on the snow!

I scored this leonard camper shell this weekend for $150.00. It is atlantic blue instead of patriot blue, so I'm going to rattle can it myself. I use this when we go on trips, the dog rides back there. Sorry for the thread hijack.

Found mine on Craigslist. They are actually quite handy for traveling and when I go to the river, also provides a nice place to sleep... kinda takes away from the "sport truck" look of the dakota though. Not something I would keep on permenantly. I am also going to have a tonneau cover.
