Located on the side of the filler neck.
Undo breather hose, then carefully turn the PCV DOWN 90 degrees.
I check mine often, its more of a pain to get the "O-ring" seated when installing than anything.

Looks like this under $10 bucks

thats what everyone says but i dont have one there and i know a couple other guys here don't as well. i have a hose that goes from the air box that has a inline tubelike thing that leads to the rear of the passenger side valve cover, thats where i belive this goes. i have been to many parts stores and they have said there isn't one listed. i saw this and thought it had to be it. had a stall yesterday and weird idle along with everyone else i guess. plugs are a year old, cleaned tb, iat, air filter, no hose leakes. tps maybe? i know it's a dead horse around here but wanted to make sure.

I have to say, this is by far the dumbest design for a PCV valve yet. I HATE this thing.
It lays on 30 degree angle on its side, perfect for the ball to get gummed up.
On the RAM, they have it right, and in the driver's side valve cover.

I might just buy a RAM valve cover I hate it so much!

I think you need to look harder, Its located under 2 silver A/C lines that run right next to the filler neck.
The PCV breather tube runs to the back the each head to two interconnected breathers
threaded into the rear of each cylinder head.

I think the part you described first is the two in the back of heads.

i'm not sure if they will bolt on or not, but the 08 dak's are in the driver side valve cover as well

Ok I did some more research on the mystery PCV. In late 2006 Dodge changed the location of the PCV on the 4.7 from the filler neck to the back of the drivers side valve head.

If you look at the emissions diagram on the hood of your Dakota it will show you the location. It is the blue item at the top of the picture. (see picture)
