What A Pleasant Surprise!!!
Back around the middle of Oct. I wrote a post mentioning my problems with my Rack & Pinion on my 2005 Dakota.
I replaced the original one at 27000 miles last year in which I paid $1,027 out of my pocket because I was past the 3 year coverage on this.
Now at 39000 miles 14 months later I have replaced the R&P again with a re-manufactured one at $585 with a better warranty than the factory part.
Someone mentioned being this is an "ongoing problem" I should contact Chrysler to see what they say. I did just that and today I got a check for 50% of the cost of the one I replaced last year. So I guess that's better than nothing, as I didn't expect to hear from them again.
Now I got to thinking that they should also cover 50% of the cost of replacing THEIR part that failed in only 12000 miles that I just replaced again but I guess that would be pushing my luck.
