Default Insys Intakes?

Hello:

I want to know if anyone of you have tried this CAI in your trucks?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true

Also will fit in a 2010? In the pictures it looks the same as mine the 2010 V6 3.7lt...

Do you have any idea to avoid hot air, ex.. shields?

thanks

Victor

I dont know if that will fit. You could get your own tubing and make one for that price -good filter. I used coupling and tubing from Home Depot, and a grommet kit from oreilly autoparts +K&N filter. I made a heat shield from sheet metal. Probably cost me $60-80 total. $40 for filter $8 for grommet kit, then 1 90deg elbow and one 45deg elbow, plus one straight piece of PVC. Also need a rubber coupling from Home Depot to hold it to the throttle body, and heat paint. I ran mine down to where the hole is in the fender well, and enclosed the filter in sheet metal.

Thats the exact one I got for my truck (4.7). I'd never had one before and did not want to invest much for my first one. You get what you pay for. The mounting bracket did not fit and had to be modified. The fitment of the rubber pieces is bad and it is really short, placing the air filter right over the exhaust manifold so it sucks in really hot air all the time. Your better off building one yourself and investing in a good k&n filter.
