Default core support in body lift

i know that with the body lift we have to saw the core support. my question is why? is it to keep the stock hoses? or if the rad is raised 3 inches the fan does not pull air directly through. if the last does an electric fan cure that problem?

if it is unavoidable how difficult is to cut and leave looking decent?

with en e-fan you could get away from destroying the core support, but you will need custom rad hoses, cutting the support is not bad to do at all, just protect the a/c condenser well so you dont poke a hole in it...
