I love my Recon Extreme! Its expensive compared to some of the other ones, but well worth it. I dont really like Recon though .... but no one else has an amber scanning tailgate bar. It bolts right up when you line it up with the top of the bumper, hook it to a 4 pin trailer harness and run a hot wire to it and youre set. You need a 49" bar. Click below for the video of mine.

No problem bud. And if you dont have the 4 pin trailer harness on your truck already (I didnt) then you can get a plug and play harness made by Wade for about $30. It takes this install to all plug and play then instead of snipping in to factory wiring. For the 12 volt hot, I ran a "add-a-fuse" from an empty slot in my fuse box to the back of the truck.

I have the fire and ice light bar, spliced it into the trailer harness so I could still use the trailer harness. This type of bar is self adhesive (more like a flexible light strip) so I attached it to the bottom edge of the bed. You really cant see the individual LED's unless you are really low to the ground, cause it's tucked under the tailgate, just like Bobby's, but it emits a cool glow from under the tailgate that I really like. It does running lights, brake/turn and backup.
