good idea or bad? ; buy a dual air intake that connects directly to the throttle body and replace two cheap "high flow" air filters that are included with k&ns? pipe=$40 2 filters= $80-100

obviously this would take in a lot of air but i bet being at the back of the engine compartment this would probaly only take in warm air from the engine and not make improvements

bad, just sucking hot air off the engine, better to get farther away with a single, doesnt need anymore air than that anyways

im with 08xdak...your stock setup would prob get cooler temps then a duel top mount...mostly for show id say.

even a drop in k&n with stock piping is a vast improvement

This is what I got from Airaid, it just replaces the resonator/hat and the small piece of pipe with one piece, and a drop-in filter in the stock airbox.
The engine felt more powerfull and sounded way more like a V8 should sound.

The Airaid MIT is the first thing I did with my intake along with a K&N air filter. I then added the Airaid Quickfit ..... which just seemed to add the noise.

I paid 150 for mine shipped at autopartswarehouse.com,
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...%26+Drivetrain

Which is pretty pricey for a piece of pipe and a drop-in filter, it looks good, sounds good and it feels more powerfull.

I think what i'm going to do to mine is something like Regnath did, and get more cold air into the factory airbox.

You can get just the tube from Autozone:
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...78322_516213_0_

That's what I did for mine since I already had the K&N drop-in.

If you keep the stock airbox, you can make it a ram air with little work

I posted this a few weeks ago, I was able to get the Airaid CAI for $141.77 , but right after I bought it, the price jumped to $266! Keep checking the amazon price, if it drops jump on it. The K&N CAI is still $216, best price around.

I just need some warm weather to install it, it just sits here, waiting...
