Default "Creaking" Steering Wheel

When I turn my steering wheel it creaks and groans like an old rocking chair.

I thought it could be the cold weather but even with the cab warmed up it still creaks.

What's with this???

Annoying as hell.

Mine was creaking right behind the steering wheel itself. If that is what yours is doing, I fixed it by taking the plastic off the ignition area between the wheel and the dash and spraying a little silicon spray in the shaft and turned the wheel a few times until it somewhat stopped. I couldn't get rid of it completely, but it's almost gone.

There was a TSB out for the midshaft replacement or greasing or something IIRC. Hit the search button up. A couple members experienced the same thing you guys are. It was for the earlier Daks.
