I just wish I could 'speed-frame' my projects! Kinda like those cooking shows where they oven just magically managed to produce a complete meal!

A good episode though, that blazer looked great after that swap...I'll bet the ride and handling took some getting used to though...

I think Offroad Unlimited makes a lot of SAS for chevy. Turn key kits including the axle but it's a hefty price. It'd be nice for them to look at the Dakota. Their chevy kits for just the lift isn't that bad.

Default they seem to do it without mesurements!!!

look like poor quality...im sure tires worn out tu to missalignement

at this rate, I might consider this, I mean we seem to keep going in circles on a lift. I cant get a locker for the front. Maybe a dana 44 out of a jeep would be a good candidate.

is there really a front solid axle that have the same widith as rear and bolt patern 5x5??? a direct fit sas except fitting

the J20 axle I'm prepping to go under my jeep is 67" WMS but there are tons of dana 44s at various widths. Most of the 2nd gen Daks use a wagoneer axle. I haven't measured the WMS of our gen but I'm sure there is one the right width. As far as bolt pattern goes it really isn't an issue as most of the parts knuckle out are interchangeable. So you can make it work. I thought it was 5x5.5...
