Default Funny rubber smell

So I noticed it first the other day and didn't think much of it, but it happened again today.

Theres like a rubber smell coming from the vents whenever the truck has a chance to warm up, so I don't know if it's something to be worried about. I smelt the engine bay today after like an hour drive and I didn't smell the same thing as in the cab.

I didn't want to start poopin my pants yet so I figured i'd ask the experts at Dodgeforum .

I was thinking the cold start at first but I only smell it after like a half hour of driving.

Hows the serpentine belt look? If its slipping slightly, that would be the burning rubber.

Odd. I sometimes notice a rubber smell from my Sundance and Caravan but only when standing outside the vehicle after a drive. I always wrote it off as a rubber exhaust hangar. Not sure why you would get it when cold though. Rengnath's belt theory makes sense.

Let me be the first to say that's a nice sig Bobby . I'll check the belt tomorrow and see if it needs to be replaced, or if there is any excessive wear on the belt.
