Default 2006 4.7 engine

how can you tell which 4.7 engine you have on a 2006 dodge dakota 4x4
i know there are two configurations of this engine but i cannot find out how you tell the difference thanks

Best way to tell is if your vin has a "J" its an HO, if it has a "N" its a regular.

im not 100% sure but ho engine have 3 bolts on throttle body
and normal ho 4 bolts.

ho engine 3 bolts, normal ho engine 4 bolts?

whats the difference between an ho engine and a normal ho engine? I have 3 bolts on my tb, but i dont have the ho engine.....

Only ways to tell are the air hats (I have seen some HO with 4.7l High Output on the air hat, some not so it cant be a sure method), the sticker under the hood, the emblem on the tailgate (4.7L High Output vs 4.7l Magnum), or the VIN.
