I recently got a color matched fiberglass tonneau cover for my bed. The kind that is flush with the bed, not the cab, and hinges up like a huge trunk lid. I like how now I basically have a huge trunk to hold all my crap. But I was curious. For those of you that are outdoor enthusiasts. Do they make any kits that can velcro or attach, so when you open the cover you can turn your truck bed into a big ole tent? I have seen some kits that attach to the back of an SUV and stuff, but nothing that i can attach to tonneau covers. Lemme know what you guys think. Worst case I might just go all Betsy Ross and make my own. Thanks guys!

 

If you can't find any pre-made stuff, I would suggest a boat place. You know, a place that makes cabin covers and bimini tops, and get a price. I would bet though, the price might have you seriously consider "going betsy ross". Velcro, nylon, canvas, imagination and a second opinion of your design is all you need.

Hey Raven, something like that (I guess I could take the tonneau cover off), but I was thinking something where the fiberglass tonneau would still be attached and be part of the roof. Whether, drop the tailgate and have a place to just sleep, goin along with what you found, something where the bed would be just where you sleep and the rest unfolds to make a living area on the ground behind your truck (or both maybe ?!?!)
