HAHA, I didn't even see what he really meant. Thanks Kent!

DONKEY: I did not remove my wheels from the rim. I just tape around the tire and masked the tire off. Once it dries, it will easily peel of of the rubber tire. Just hit it (softly) with a hammer and it will crack. I tried that same thing on the rim and it wouldn't crack so it shouldn't peel off of the rim. ( i hope) lol

While clear coat would probably work great over paint I don't think it would apply well to plasti-dip.

what brand did you use on this? I have seen about four or five brands out there and I read on a different Forum that the guy had one brand that turned out pretty bad for him.

looks good! kwanczyk, i did mine similar but with bed liner spray and turned out with similar results. I did mine before the winter but hasnt been a year yet and only had a little scrape from the mountains. good thing bout the bed liner though is that it sprays rite back on and cant tell the difference because of the texture. might be the same for you since u used textered plasti-dip

[QUOTE=Backwoods18;2460367]I was bored today and Plasti-dipped my wheels. I liked the way they turned out. What do you guys think?

Very nice, I likes. How much did the stuff cost and where did you get it? I would be interested in doing the same thing if I could find the color I wanted. Also, I noticed that yours has a roughed up look to it and its nice, but if I did it I would want a more glossy look, any idea if they have stuff like that too?

Around me its about $5-$6 dollars for a spray can. Any hardware store should carry it. Usually near the spray cans, or the hand tools.

They do sell a clear plastic dip spray, but I am not sure how glossy it is.
