Talking Flexalite is an awsome company...lemme tell u why

The customer service is outstanding. simply put...And heres the reason why.

My truck has been down for about a week due to my electric fan failing. Pulled it out numerous times, tested the thromstat prong in hot water, fan fired right up with no problem. When I had put everything back in the fan motor would run at very low RPM and eventually would quit. Called the company, told them about what I was doing and ending up with A represenitive telling me that i should start out with a new controller, thermostat and curcuit board. Im thinking : ok...how much? He says no problem Ill send it out to you for free. Awsome!..that controller is about 60 bucks. And on top of that he sends it out 2nd day air. I get it...Install everything for what seems like the 2343rd time...still no go. same symtoms. At this time I had to bring in a mechanic friend into the picture and get his input. We oringinally were going to put the clutch fan back in. But that didnt work due the the threads not looking to pretty....Great...Im SOL at this piont. We instead look at the flexalite fan with more detail. We take off the back plate of the motor...and sure enough found the problem. Because of the fan is a "puller" design the puts the back of the motor facing the hot radiator surface. And on top of that it was filthy. The brushes that bring current to the magnet around the bearing was covered in metal shavings. Took a duster can to it and blew all that crap out. Called flexalite again, talked to a different rep this time, but he was just as helpful. Told him what i was going through and how his co worker helped me out alot earlier in the week. He sends out a brand new motor on warrenty. didnt even ask about proof of purchase or anything. Just chit chatted with the guy...if you guys havent looked for a new motor for a black magic 160 its around 150 bucks. And Ive had this fan playing the role of my primary cooling for almost 3 yrs. Alot of town driving is in my route so this thing is always running. In conclusion to this story is WHY I BUY NAME BRAND PRODUCTS MADE IN THE USA. simply put. wouldnt have gotten this kind of treatment if i bought some POS off ebay...Im glad i spent the money on this product.
