Will The Search Ever Be Fixed?
I don't know about you, but I use the search function all the time. Why has it been down for a week now? It is supremely irritating, almost as much as getting no response from DF acknowledging the issue.
seems like they have been experiencing server issues or something like that also, 3-4 times yesterday I could not even access the site....maybe they are working on it...I thought one of the mods posted that the function was down and they were working on it, but I can't search for that post....lol

We (df) have responded... many times. The search function is down, our techs are working on it. in the mean time, there is a work around...

This issue is affecting all of our AFU sites, not just DF. it takes time to sort out an issue that hits over 50 sites. Our tech team is working on it, in the mean time, try the workaround.

A proactive sticky post about the workaround in the Forum Issues section might have been a good idea the day the search quit, around 4-12 or 4-13. The first response from DF to the thread on the issue came 6 days later. That's all I'm saying.

Proactive? We certainly didn't expect the search function to stop working, or the database to give fits... Or the server to crash.
That workaround was posted today, by me. not some paid tech for internet brands. I did that so you (the members) would have some form of search function still. If I would have been directed to that thread, 5 days ago, I would have posted that then. I never received a PM from anyone, member, mod or otherwise.
Sorry it took so long, but the search function isn't something that I personally use on a daily basis. My responsibilities keep me from doing much browsing on the forum. Let alone researching any questions I may have.

Thank you Eric, for all you do. Seriously. This forum still rocks with or without some insignificant search function....you just go to know how to roll... and I know how to roll..I roll with the 3rd gen Dak guys...we dont need no search function...we got each other! lol
