Engine Management - EMS 8860
Anybody here with experience with an EMS 8860?
I am pretty sure this is the route I will take regarding engine management simply because I hate the idea of getting an SCT tuner and having my truck tuned by some dude miles away. Plus there is no way of modifing the tunes unless you go thorugh them again.
However I wouldn't even know where to begin searching for maps for the 8860.
If there is one part of this project that scares me is this one.

It's my understanding that the 8860 needs to be Dyno tuned. If you have a local dyno, they most likely will be able to tune with SCT or Diablo. I have a local "dyno tune" place, that can tune with those 2 plus AEM, and he does it out of a shed looking thing in his back yard. I would call around and see if there is a place close enough. When you order an SCT tuner from hemi fever, he will send you a "base boost tune" that would at least get you on the road so you could data log. I believe he has a package that gets you unlimited tunes. (blown would know more about that, as i believe he has it.)
I would call around to local-ish dyno places and see what they use/recommend. paying the 200 bucks for an actual dyno tune is WAY worth it.
