Default Gauges froze

While i was driving home from work yesterday,i hit this pothole. The speedo got stuck at 25 mph and the airbag setbelt and check engine light all came on. I pulled over and turned the truck off and then back on. Everything cleared except the check engine light. Today after driving for a while,i restarted the truck and the check engine light was gone. My thermometer in my cab was also stuck at 70 degrees for a while then went back to normal..

Every thing is cool now ,but has anyone had this hapen before and is there something i should still look at?
Thanks

My son's 1500 had the same issue but when it happened to his truck he also got a "NO BUS" message. Ended up being the two plugs in the rear of the instrument panel were not making adequate contact. He cleaned the contact pins with contact cleaner and used dielectric grease on the pins and back to normal. It is supposed to be an issue with the full size Dodge trucks, I don't know about our Dakota's.

I have hit a pothole before, that has jolted the ignition key just enough that the truck would keep running, but the computer threw a bunch of random codes. I have never noticed if the gauges got stuck like that. I just pull over shut the truck off, and restart. The random codes always disappeared after a little bit of driving.

It's actually a pretty simple procedure, something like 12 screws altogether.
