Question glass pack 0r cherry bomb

I know on bigger motors cherry bombs, glass packs make a nice rumble but what about a v6 dakota. besides doing the muffler upgrade as well, looking for some input as to do a cherry bomb or glass pack or neither.

Glasspacks on a V6 might get into the relm of rice, go with a medium sized or larger muffler such as cherrybomb, magnaflow, etc. V8s can get away with any muffler and sound ok, you want a deep mellow sound with your V6 not a angry bumble bee sound.

I had a cherrybomb glass pack on my old 1992 Taurus with the 3.0 V6 and it sounded pretty good and I have one on the dakota (V8) and it sounds great

I stuck on a Flowmaster 50HD originally when I re-did my entire exhaust (LT headers on back), sounded good except for a bit of drone from about 1600-2200 rpm. My biggest problem with it was that it rusted out pretty quick and I've since learned that most Flowmasters are quite restrictive due to their chambered design.

Cut the Flowmaster off about 2 years ago (it resembled a piece of swiss cheese after less than 4 years and I'm in a southern state). Replaced it with a Cherry Bomb Extreme and I'm quite pleased with the sound. A LOT more aggressive when you hit the gas, but surprisingly to me, not as loud as the FM50 at idle. Also, after 2 years there is not a hint of rust on it yet.
