isn't that just a stock grille with the fins painted silver? i like the new one but i think the old one with the mesh painted black would look sick.

Yep it is. I had the mesh painted black before and the chrome strip painted body color
..but I just preferred the chrome/silver combo better after comparing pictures. Since I have the chrome rims, door guards and rear bumper it just tied it together better...imo..

I just did away with my crosshair grille, but your two tone really looks good!
Where do you find a rattle can to match your Patriot Blue?

sand, primer (almost a whole can), paint (again, almost a whole can, wet sanded with 1500 grit between coats, except the last coat), clearcoat.....got the paint from a company in Florida that custom mixes dupont automotive factory paint and puts it in aerosol cans. I have found that this paint is superior to the duplicolor paint you can buy in stores.

You forgot the details of one very important step. This "professional quality, (two part) clear coat" of which you spoke of.

I gotta repaint my rear splash guards, and I want to do it better than last time. The winter really took it's toll on my last attempt.
