power steering

thanks for all the info. I lubed it up, steering shaft u-joints that is, now it works great. I went to Lordco and they can get me one for about $ 150.00, but mine steers great again so I'm just going to wait for now.

Was yours giving you problems all of the time or was it intermittant? Mine has been giving me similar problems but it's sort of random and doesn't do it all of the time. It's usually at higher speeds I get hards spots in the steering which will show up when the wheels is at center and I try to turn the wheel in either direction.

just dug up this topic, i have steering problems, i took off the belt and checked the pulley, theres a bit of play in it, do i need to replace the pump or just the pulley, how do i get the pulley off? is a special tool needed?

Well lets start to help the diagnosis process. Please provide vehicle information

- what type of fluid did you add? I hope it was aft-4 anything else will break the seals down and destroy the rack

What type of "steering problems" are you having?
