Open enjector circuit 5 and Bucking at 2200rpm
05 Dakota 3.7 , Please does anyone have any answers or suggestions? We have changed plugs,TPS,Coils . We chased the injector problem where it is just pouring out fuel on injector 5. White smoke was coming out tail pipe and burning triple the fuel. We now unplugged injector 5 and no smoke and fuel mileage back to normal. What could be causing the injector to stick? The truck also just busks or stutters at 2200 Rpm. This has been very dangerous to drive and almost a art. Cant pull out in front anyone , cant merge take forever to get up to 70mph etc. Please any help would be great!!!!

Well all I can think of is that there is either a clog in the line at that injector on the line. or you have a bad electrical connection and not getting the right power to that injector
ya i would check the wiring on that injector and have you tryed putting another injector from another cylinder on that cylinder and if it repeats its self i would look at the wiring real close

Yea we played the switch game. Same thing, I am leaning towards a sensor or something. I just hate to purchase a new computer.
Is there a way to test the computer?
Just asking because I had the same prob, only with a ford product 4 years ago. I blindly changed parts with the last thing being the computer which fixed it. Funny thing is I was spooked of the cost, which ended up being $60 at the junkyard. If I could have diagnosed it, would have saved a lot of time and money.
