Default Just A Thought

So I am in the market for 2 sets of tires, winter and all season, Factory tires were the wranglers which were great, but heres the delema, cash is tight, suppose, you go to the dealership and drop 4 spare tires from 4 different dakotas. Who is gonna know, no one. but I would never do that, so this is what I was thinking, Has anyone ever installed a spare tire lock on their truck so no one can just come up to it and lower the tire and walk away with it, I think it may be a good idea, if I can think of it, pretty sure others have also

Pretty much any auto parts store will sell either a chain or cable that has a protective coating on it, that you would pass through the tire and then around the frame or the hitch tube. Just looks like a heavy duty bike lock.

My '05 came from the factory with a cable and lock on the spare. I thought they all came that way, I guess I thought wrong.

my 05 wont come down unless I get underneath and squeeze those two "fingers"together....a thief would never figure that out....

If someone jacks my 5 year old spare, that would definitely suck.

Some good looking winter rims are for sale right here on DF.

Lol kudos to the guy who can steal my spare tire, it's so seized. If he is able to get down i'll give him a round of applause.
