Default Vibration

Has anyone else experienced front end vibration at speeds between 60 - 70 mph? I have a 2005 quad cab 4x4 with 51,000 miles. The vibration was really bad so I out on a new set of tires and it helped but didn't completely fix it. I also had a new outer tie rod end replaced on the drivers side.

sounds like a wheel balance issue. Some places seem to have a hard time with dakota wheels. Especially the 17" chrome clads.

What gear ratio do you have? I have 3.55, and get what sounds like a very low freq (subtle, not harsh) vibration between about 39-46 mph. Heard it might be a u-joint. If it was wheels, I was under the impression it would only get worse the faster you get...not ending at a certain speed like mine/yours. Interestingly, after pulling a U-Haul at GTW/GCWR, the speed range of this vibration seemed to translate up a few mph for about a day...Which leads me even further to suspect a u-joint, as the suspension seemed yet to "unwind" from the pull.
