more fuel means less power in this application, motor cant burn it all so you end up running rich/unburnt fuel. unless you have boost. thats the way hemifever explained it to me. one of my early tunes was way to rich, 11aft at wot. was sluggish. the difference between 11 and 13.2 is huge. but i know billy needs a richer afr b.c of boost.
Theres no way to add more fuel by just swapping injectors without running in to problems. By just adding more fuel, the AFR will be read by the 02 sensors as rich, and the PCM will try and lean it out. If it can lean in out enough, youll get an engine light. You need to change the fuel maps if you want to be able to run a richer mixture. HOWEVER, you can get achieve more power and better throttle response by getting an injector that sprays/distributes the fuel better through the cylinder to achieve maximum burning.

This explains it. I achieved more throttle response and a little more "zip".

Thats no suprise at all. Especially if your truck has higher miles, swapping out the injectors should just help. If you get an overall better injector, you should see a noticable difference.
Both injectors are ev6 4 hole so they will have the same spray pattern. The difference is because the 4.6l injectors flow more the is no momentary lean condition after you mash on the gass and the pulse width is smaller so fuel delivery should be more exact when compared to timing.
So its worth it even of you aren't boosting? The 4.6 is just a better overall injector with quicker response than our stock ones. Not a waste of gas just a quicker throttle response so instantaneous power rather than delayed power? Hopefully the mod burns the same amount of fuel..
