Default Lowering a 2008 Dakota 4x4

Has anyone tried to lower a 2008 Quad Cab 4x4, a couple of inches? It is a bit too high for me and my killed hip to climb into? Any and all ideas sure would help me to decide what route follow! (Rear suspension uses leaf springs on top of housing, with about 4 0r 5" travel to bump stops. Front suspension uses coil springs mounted around the shocks) Thanks guys.

With normal coils you can heat them up with the load of the truck and they will bend down, but our trucks coils are already so close so I am not sure about that. You might be able to cut them down.

For the rear you can either flip the leafs to the bottom or buy a drop shackle.

for the rear you can remove the helper spring, the smallest one.

you could always put some step rails on it to help ya get in. super easy to install and you won't lose ride height.
