Default 10 Dakota/Big horn radio inf0

HI, I bought this truck and it came with an aftermarket 2 DIN radio with nav/dvd/wifi seemed cool but would also have to be reset. Manual was horrible info and tech support was obsolete.....here a pic of my radio and its outputs...

My question is Im now ready to get a new radio....with no Nav or dvd...I'm not sure what the factory OEM harness looked like with factory radio.

Any one have specs for that?
What would I need for aftermarket install?

Love the truck just hate the radio it came with.

thnx

Welcome to the Forum.

I would think that the previous person would have been smart enough to buy a wire harness adapter, which would make the entire process pretty plug and play.

If he was a jerk and cut and soldered all the wires you will have some more work on your hands.

I would suggest that you find out what type of radio specs you have first so we can have more information. Manufacture/Model/more pictures.

Ohh and get some truck pictures up

Alright, thats the same radio that is a direct fit in to our dash that we just saw in another thread.

Im guessing the radios are the same up till 2011 in the Dakotas. You can see the back of one here. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DODGE...fAudioQ5fVideo

You need the male adapater, and it will be the larger of the 2 plugs. The smaller female reciever is for Sirius Radio I think.

Nope! 2008 and up use the same plug/opening. 2007 and below use a different opening and plug.

If he cut the plug off, you can get a replacement one off Ebay...I see them on there all the time.

You should be able to find a factory radio without any issues, there are tons of them out there.

You could go to the mygig as well, but remember to get a low speed canbus if you do!

I wish Dodge would have left well enough alone and kept it the same for all years
