Are yours Westins? I'm pretty sure I ordered mine before your post, I just remembered to snag pix while I was getting the nerf pix for Kent. I'm still happy cuz $60 is still way better than the ~$140 for the "new" model.

If you look earlier on the thread, i posted mine on 8/20. So that was before you ordered them. Mine are not westins, but whats the difference? Just a brand name. It doesnt matter how strong they are, because no matter what i believe it will break the screws that hold it on wayyy before the thin metal guards will break. I actually went to lowes and got screws that were a little longer, but exactly the same minus the torx head. Its too make sure they stay on.

I ordered them on 8/12/2011 at 8:42:26 PM. Again, I just didn't get around to taking the after pictures until Kent had asked for some of Nerf Bars in another thread.

Interesting point about the screws being a point of failure/weakest link.

Oh okay.
About the screws, i dont think the screws them selves will break, but the screws screw into the taillights. Sooo thats plastic. Soo its only as strong as that plastic. But then again, theres the spot where it hooks onto the quarter panel of the truck without any screws. That spot is actually quite strong, as i kicked the taillight guard really hard, and it didnt do anything. Next, i want to create a heavy duty bumper for the back, but the front needs one more.

Yea, too bad we don't live near eachother, I'd have to always try to park next to you, just to throw you off. LOL

But that would only work for so long, as I plan to put a front brush guard and a Hauler Rack on mine, once I do that it'd be way too easy to tell the difference.
