Default Homemade Bull bar/ soon to be brush gaurd....

Well, yesterday I did two things. One was forget the camera and the other was to build this. I will admit, it doesn't look the greatest right now but that is as far as I could go yesterday. I want to add a hoop on top to protect the grill sometime or add to it. That's the good part, I can go anywhere from here.

DSCN0989.jpgThis is how I mounted it. Two 6" pieces of angle iron notched around the frame and mounted with the bumper bolts.
DSCN0990.jpgLet me know your opinion in which direction I should add on to this.. Thanks guys

Material: 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" X 3/16" Angle Iron.
1 1/4" X 3/16" Square Tube for support arms
2 1/4" X 5/16" Square tube for the bumper.

BTW this thing is solid. I jacked the front of the truck up with it.

Nice work, can't wait to see it completed. Are you able to mount some lights to it?

Thanks. I can mount lights to it. Just have to figure out how. Probably make light tabs out of angle iron.

Nick, I love it! I'm not the only one with a one-off push bar. By the way, I'm constructing a new one................a better one...............

Very nice, I did a little receiver mount light bar last year for my Grand Cherokee.

I jut bought materials yesterday at the local flea market to get my welder back out and start on a rod holder for the front. I priced one at the local marine shop and they wanted $179 for it! I bought the steel, four individual rod holders and a few other pieces I need to build it for under $20 yesterday...
