That part number is the hooks, they show the hitch because its part of the towing group. I am planning on ordering from here in October.

If you look here: http://parts.mopar.com/dodge/dakota-parts.html And search the 2006 Dakota, you will find the part number listed under "lifestyle/offroad" and "tow hooK" but the description states "Black, front, 2 hooks, same as production"

Here is the Mopar part number: 82209129

That is a STEAL for the tow hooks! Dealer matched the lowest price I could get at $90.00.
I know their cost is around $70-75....

the local dealer...hard to beat "I'll have it by 10 tomorrow"

I could have beat the price, but....meh....which is kinda funny since I bought the hitch for rockauto, lol

That means it will travel half way across the country, then make a return trip to your house lol.

I need to bite the bullet and just purchase the tow hooks and install them... I like the idea of being able to hook from either the front or rear in order to pull.

it's funny, but not true...ended up at my place last night

the handle bar risers that were also there that night, however, took a trip to Oregon yesterday... wtf?

doooo eeeeeet! all the cool kids are doing it.

tow hooks need to be on EVERY 4 wheel drive.

a hitch needs to be on EVERY truck.

All I have left to do is get a stinger and ball, and the wiring harness and I'll be ready for next April.

I am going to guess you have a motorcycle too with the risers comment?

I would agree. I have the factory tow package so I am set on the rear.
