Default Jack?

I need to replace my 2 ton floor jack. It got wet and all rusty n junk. Anyway, should I go with a 2 ton, 2.5 ton, or 3 ton?

I'm leaning towards the 2.5 ton since it seemed like quite a chore for my 2 ton to lift the front (it was a cheapy tho). 3 ton is a little outa my price range at the moment...

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I have this one

I usually would not touch Chinese junk, but this one is light weight, but heavy duty. Easy to move around under the truck. Simple to rebuild with standard parts if needed.

I have one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_500wt_1180

I think it is unique in that it lifts my motorcycle, truck, car, and lawnmower. Since it is raining all the time in Florida currently the motorcycle is sitting on it in the up position. Ebay was the cheapest place I found it.

I'm using this one, it doesn't seem to be available any more though.

Central Hydraulics Rapid Pump® 4000 Lb. Capacity Lightweight Low Profile Aluminum Racing Jack
Item Number: 92782
Sold by Harbor Freight Tools

Looks just like the one Eimer123 is using.
Just a couple of pumps is all it takes, big improvement over my other crappy one from Autozone, I don't trust that thing at all.

I have the same one. Gotta raise the back by the pumpkin after I raised it though, lol
