Default Can anyone help me understand code scanners?

I have an older ScanTool VPW scanner that I used on my GMC Sonoma. They stopped making them in '04. Any chance I can get it to work on the Dakota? If not, what's a good scanner interface that I can use with my laptop?

Thanks

If its an OBD2 it should work you might have to update it or something check the company's website that made your scanner

Ditto. Plug it in and see what happens.

I agree plug it in see what happens, if the truck blows up you know it did not work.

Also checking for updates on the company website is probably ticket #1
