Angry Trailer lighting/wiring help

Hey guys,

So I bought some new Blazer submersible trailer lights for my tired trailer that needed new lights and plastic. I decided I would re-wire the whole trailer to set my mind at ease.

Well...I have it all installed and everything works great (turn signals, brakes, emergency lights) EXCEPT for when I TURN ON my headlights. Once my headlights turn on the trailer lights do nothing. Turn signals, brakes, emergency lights no longer respond.

Any ideas???

Here's the kit I bought: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...ndingMethod=rr

I would start by checking the grounds you used. Then recheck all the connections, something sounds like its shorting out when the running lights come on. Do you get the yellow light bulb on the dash when the trailer lights go off?

Well... When you turn on your head lights it should activate your running lights. I would re-check your connections... make sure each wire made it into the connector(no lose strans) that may cause it to not work.

Eimer. I will recheck the grounds. As for the yellow light, I have no idea what you're talking about so im gonna say no.

Mrose, the kit was all one strand that lead directly into the connector so I don't think anything is not hooked up. The wiring works perfectly in the day, but when I turn my headlights on at night I get nothing from the trailer wiring.
