Pulling the cladding off would be ok if you plan on spray painting or powdercoating. Just a bit of prep work after popping the covers off though it looks like.

• Look great, even look clean when they're dirty
• Very durable, more so than 'chrome plating' which peel and flake off
• Easy to maintain, 'real chrome' wheel maintenance is a chore
• Will never rust like 'real chrome' wheels

On our trucks, unless you go aftermarket, thats what you get if you want chrome.
