Default Dak dudes quick question

Changing brake pads on my wifes 2006 4x4 Dakota. I did the front know it's time for the back. Are the back pads same as front or different part number.
Thanx in advance.

yep, you wont find pads on the rear brakes, only shoes. Go to Rock Auto if you want them cheap, otherwise advance, auto zone, oreillys or something like that. I see several part numbers, you will have to find out which ones you need. I dont know if they made a design change mid-year or something because I see it asking if it has two return springs or one.

05-07 list pab853 with one upper return spring.
06-+ list pab923 with 2 upper return springs.

Thee differance seems to be the manufacture date. Before 10-17-05 only one upper spring was used and after 2 rerurn springs were used.
