alternator whine

Default alternator whine

i live in a small town what is the best thing to get whine out of my electronics the parts store people look at you like and alien does somebody like radio shack carry this product

back up a little. is it whine from the alternator, or electrical whine through the speakers? Do you have an aftermarket sound system? Does it happen with the stereo on and off or just on? If it is the former, I would suspect the alternator may be going bad, if it is the latter, do you have the new system adequately grounded? Proper sized wiring, etc? A little more info would be helpful for us to provide the correct diagnosis and assistance....

Bad grounds and battery cables can make your alternator whine. The current doesn't flow easily so the alternator has to work harder.
