Now I really am sorry I got the last set.

I think you could drill and tap them but keep the heat low and make sure you get all the filings out the only hard part is knowing when you have hit the ball and can stop drilling

Good luck!

i was gonna set the depth on the drill bit really low and use a drill press. and once i get it put together pump them clear with lots of grease. If i did do it i would most likely buy a new bit so i can go slow.

this is that moog part number, so unless they are dumb enough to not list it then there are more that one version

Hello,

Thank you for your email and interest in our products. Most of Moogs products had been greaseable but for this application it does look like they are using a sealed joint in their tie rod ends. I looked at the other manufacturers we carry and it appears that they all are sealed units. Unfortunately I do not show that we carry a greaseable unit for this application.

If you have any other questions please let us know.

Thank you,

Mike S

I'm thinking the internals might be different as well! Never pulled on apart, although my Neon TR-end came apart in my hand as I was removing it, - I guess it was due . . .

The bearing itself might be sealed, so your grease will just fill up the space around the bearing?!?! I'm thinking that they don't just fill the TR-end with grease and slap a cover on it. I am quick to point out that I may be talking through my hat here, but drilling into a nice new piece of kit to make it last longer might not be a good idea.
